Theater Under The Stars
Project led by Holmes Center for the ArtsAbout the project.
Cause Connector funding will support the Holmes Center for the Arts (HCA) as they present an outdoor Art Under the Star series at the Berlin Park in the heart of Holmes County. The series, which is held in June and July, will feature both music, dancing, and theater under the stars.
During the Theatre Under the Stars HCA will be present Clue. Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!
The Art Under the Stars series will begin a tradition of outdoor performances and will encourage those who might be intimidated by a traditional theater experience to attend performing arts productions. With the help of this funding, tickets will be affordable for families at just $5 per person, hopefully eliminating barriers to experiencing quality performing arts.
FAO staff insight.
Since 2015, Holmes Center for the Arts has created an outlet for theater and music in an area that previously lacked a vehicle.
The COVID 19 pandemic has been especially hard on arts organizations as they have struggled to once again take center stage. Dollars to support the Art Under the Stars series will subsidize ticket costs for community members.
A volunteer-led and run organization, Holmes Center for the Arts is a community staple in Holmes County.
