Strive 4 STEAM

Project led by After School Discovery

About the project.

After School Discovery (ASD) provides safe, secure environments to students after school. This Cause Connector project will support ASD’s Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts Enrichment, and Mathematics (STEAM) academic coaching program through the purchase of LEGO “BricQ Motion” kits.

The BricQ Motion kits offer a new level of STEAM education and enrichment. The kits engage elementary students in the exploration of physical science within a sports context and help to foster an understanding of forces, motion, and interactions by providing an easy hands-on learning experience, without the need for technology.

The kits provide instructions and inspirational ideas that facilitate language arts, physical science, and visual math practice. All of this will make ASD’s STEAM lessons more relevant, creative, and fun.
