Story Walk

Project led by Jackson City Library

About the project.

This Cause Connector project promotes literacy and physical activity for families in Jackson County.

The Jackson City Library wants to increase the literacy of children in Jackson County by updating their Story Walk stations. There are 18 Story Walk stations around Jackson that help families and their children stay active and engaged in reading.

In a Story Walk, visitors walk from station to station to proceed through a story.

FAO staff comments.

Story Walks are increasingly popular community resources to allow families and multi-generational groups to enjoy time outside while also engaging in literacy skills and development by reading a book. This project will improve the Story Walk display cases to make sure more Jackson residents have an opportunity to engage with this project.
