Need-Based Scholarships

Project led by Foundation for Appalachian Ohio

About the project.

Scholarships are an essential step for most students looking to pursue post-secondary education. At the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, scholarship season always shows us the opportunities that lie ahead for the region’s students while also underscoring how great the financial need is for many of the students in our region. With every gift to this project, we will be able to increase the number of scholarship awards given to Appalachian Ohio’s students applying for awards from across our 32 counties right now. These scholarships will be based on the significant financial need of applicants meaning your gift will make a true impact on a students’ pursuit of post-secondary education.

FAO staff comments.

Each year the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio receives nearly 1,000 applications for scholarships as the students of our region get ready to pursue their post-secondary education. Scholarships are a crucial step in creating educational opportunities and helping the students of our region take their next steps beyond high school.
