All families who received a pack ‘n play style crib through the Holmes County General Health District participated in safe sleep education with the Health Educator.

FAO staff comments.

Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is the sudden and unexplained death of a baby younger than 1-year-old. The majority of SIDS deaths are associated with sleep, which is why it’s sometimes still called “crib death.” Projects like the Safe Sleep Initiative are working to spread awareness and bring an end to SIDS.
