Nelsonville Presbyterian Farm Trail

Project led by First Presbyterian Church of Nelsonville

About the project.

The Nelsonville Presbyterian Farm, stewarded by the First Presbyterian Church of Nelsonville, is located in the Hocking Hills region of Ohio. A blend of deep woods, ponds and streams, rolling hills and open fields, this three hundred acre property has been a part of the community since 1958.

First Presbyterian Church seeks funds for trail-building equipment which will help maintain and expand its nearly two miles of existing trail system on the Farm. This equipment will more efficiently enhance our ability to provide well-maintained trails for our targeted communities to enjoy. These communities include K-12 school groups, Scouting groups, church and other organizations, and family and youth camps. The trails also serve our long-term vision for events such as trail runs and guided nature hikes.

FAO staff comments.

Appalachian Ohio is home to some of the most beautiful natural spaces in the world. As COVID-19 creates challenges for indoor activities, it is all the more important to suppoort Appalachian Ohioans in accessing and appreciating nature through time outdoors.
