Morgan County Senior Hygiene Bags

Project led by Washington-Morgan Community Action Program

About the project.

This Cause Connector project supports the purchase of personal care items for homebound seniors in Morgan County.

The Washington-Morgan Community Action Program (WMCAP) is making care packages for seniors that include personal hygiene products such as soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toilet paper, shampoo, and more. Personal hygiene plays an important role in the well-being of Morgan County seniors. These senior hygiene bags will be distributed to approximately 45 homes to support seniors who are homebound, including due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

FAO staff comments.

This Washington-Morgan Community Action Program builds upon its existing meal delivery service to provide home-bound seniors with essential toiletry and other home items. Seniors are at high risk of COVID-19, and this program provides an essential service while also keeping seniors safe during the ongoing pandemic. Furthermore, the program ensures that our most vulnerable seniors have someone connecting with and checking on them weekly.
