Mighty Cares

Project led by Mighty Children's Museum

About the project.

Mighty Children’s Museum (MCM) wants you to join them in a “Mighty Movement” where they will be able to offer programming geared towards mental health and wellness for the entire family. Family yoga, family fitness, cooking classes, live Q and A Sessions with health officials – are all activities MCM is looking to incorporate within the museum.

“Mighty Cares” the program will allow MCM to service the above activities mentioned to foster community engagement and support to our families near and far. MCM feels the need more than ever to be able to offer programming geared to support the child and family as a whole, free of charge. If the total amount is not raised, MCM hopes to offer programs on a smaller scale or reduced capacity.

Based on research, to offer an instructor paired with resources – weekly programming would estimate between $120 – $130 per week. With seeking funds of $7,000 – MCM hopes to provide an instructor and materials to each family member each week for mental health and wellness.

FAO staff comments.

Family activities are known to be a great way for children and adults of all ages to process and explore emotions. The Mighty Children’s Museum of Chillicothe wants to make sure that those who wish to participate are able to through this funding.
