Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Muskingum County

Project led by Muskingum County Literacy Council

About the project.

The National Commission on Reading states, “The single most significant factor influencing a child’s early educational success is an introduction to books and being read to at home prior to beginning school.” The Muskingum County Literacy Council is proud to bring the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to our community. This is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children each month from birth until their fifth birthday, no matter their family’s income. This project brings the joy of family reading directly to preschooler’s mailboxes each month and enhances the opportunity for them to become kindergarten ready.

This project will allow the Muskingum County Literacy Council to make a greater impact for Muskingum County children.
