Always Active

Project led by St. Clairsville Parks and Recreation Department

About the project.

The City of St. Clairsville Parks and Recreation Department is a multigenerational center that offers various sports and community programs, serving Belmont, Guernsey, and Harrison counties. The new Always Active program focused on getting youth of all ages up and moving to improve their overall health and wellbeing.

This program will strive to increase family participation and help youth decompress from everyday stress in a positive and safe environment.

Programs will include cardio and kickboxing, as well as circuit training and dance programs designed to promote social skills and coordination. A handicap swing will also be added to ensure no child misses out on participating.

FAO staff comments.

The Always Active program will fill a current gap in programming in the St. Clairsville community. The program will offer both physical and social chances to grow, providing youth with a positive and supportive community environment.
