Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles Food Pantry

Project led by Kent State Tuscarawas Foundation

About the project.

This Cause Connector project will help reduce student food insecurity by establishing a food pantry at Kent State Tuscarawas.

Kent State Tuscarawas is creating a campus food pantry to combat student food insecurity. The pantry will collect, provide, and store food items to put on shelves and in refrigerators. The Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles Food Pantry is expected to support food security across Carroll, Coshocton, Harrison, Holmes, and Tuscarawas counties.

FAO staff comments.

Unfortunately, food insecurity affects college students just as it does those in K-12. Kent State Tuscarawas is working with student organizations to create a food pantry for its students. Many groups are collaborating to fund this project and funds raised through Cause Connector project will support the equipment necessary to make sure users have access to both shelf-stable items and food that requires refrigeration.
